He has achieved a 1800+ rating on Chess.com - a level that reflects serious tactical and strategic understanding - and served as president of his high school chess club, where he first developed his instinct for teaching the game to others.
Nathan has competed in USCF-rated tournaments and understands the competitive landscape from the inside. That experience shapes how he prepares students at Spotlight Academy: not just for casual play, but for the focused, analytical mindset that tournament chess demands.
Teaching Philosophy
